Bumper to bumper protection.

We are proud to extend our fantastic window film product line to include paint protection films. We now offer bumper to bumper auto protection.

Road rash. This is the result of years of driving on highways in all manner of awful weather conditions. If you drive up and down the Malahat each week for work, or if you take trips on the mainland (especially up and down the Coquihalla) I am certain you have started to see the damage left behind by gravel and stone chips on the hood, fenders, and front mirrors of your vehicle. There is an answer to this problem, and we have found a wonderful partner in Premium Shied to help us bring this solution to drivers in Victoria.

In the same way you that you can apply window films to your vehicle’s windows to protect from UV light and radiant heat, you can apply paint protection films to your hood, fenders, mirrors, door edges, and door sills to protect them from damage. They are invisible, they can be easily removed with no residue, and they protect your vehicle’s paint better than any other product on the market.

Stone Guard™ is a strong, optically clear protection film designed to protect painted surfaces from severe stone impacts and road rash. Combining excellent elastic properties and optical clarity with a high shear and tack adhesive, Stone Guard is offered in a standard 8.0 Mil version, as well as our Stone Guard Elite (8.2 Mil) which has an added topcoat layer of protection for resistance to acids, abrasives and external solvents.

We are going to write some in-depth articles on the procedure, how long it takes, how easy it is to maintain,  and how we do the installation soon. For now, here are a few of the most frequently asked questions. More to come, stay tuned to get a behind the scenes look.

FAQs

Do protective films diminish the appearance of my car?

No! Stone Guard protective films protect your car from road rash, leaving it in showroom condition year after year whilst remaining virtually invisible.

Can protective films be washed and waxed?

Yes, you may wash and wax your vehicle as if the protective film were not present. In fact, the film loves wax!

Will my car’s paint fade under the sun?

Yes. Stone Guard protective film is UV stable, but will allow UV rays to penetrate. This feature eliminates the “two shades” of paint problem resulting from traditional car “bras.”

Can protective films be removed?

Yes. Stone Guard uses a patented acrylic adhesive which can be safely removed without residue, even after being applied for years.
